Printed materials and environmentally friendly packaging

Printed paper

Paper is the main material for product packaging, and the printing effect is good, and the patterns, square characters and craftsmanship we want can be vividly displayed on the surface of the paper. There are many types of paper, the following types are commonly used in printing and packaging.

    1. Coated paper: There are two types of single-sided and double-sided. Coated paper is mainly refined from wood, cotton fiber and other high-grade raw materials, 70g-400g per square meter, 250g or more is also called copperplate white card, paper The surface is coated with a layer of white pigment, the surface is white, and the smoothness is high. After the ink is printed, it can show a bright bottom. It is suitable for multi-color register printing. After printing, the color is bright, the level is rich, the graphics are clear, and it is commonly used in gift boxes. And for the packaging and tagging of hand-held paper bags and some export products, the thin coated paper with low grammage is suitable for mounting on the surface of the box (such as gift box packaging), stickers, etc.

2. Whiteboard paper: There are two types of gray background and white background. The gray background is often called powder gray or single-sided white, and the white background is often called single pink card or white cardboard. The texture of the paper is firm and thick, and the paper surface is smooth and white. It has relatively good strength, surface strength, folding resistance and printing suitability. It is suitable for making folding boxes, hardware packaging, sanitary ware boxes, portable paper bags, etc. It is used at a lower price and has a wide range of uses.

3. Kraft paper: Kraft paper is commonly used in white and yellow, that is, white kraft paper and yellow kraft paper. The kraft paper itself is gray and gray. The color gives it a rich and colorful connotation and a simple and honest feeling. Therefore, as long as you print a set of colors, you can get the surface Its inherent charm, due to its relatively low price, economical benefits and other advantages, designers like to use kraft paper to design dessert packaging, kraft paper packaging department will bring a sense of intimacy.

4. Art paper: Art paper is what we often call special paper. There are many kinds of it. Usually, the surface of this kind of paper will have some original colors and uneven texture. It has special processing technology and looks high-end atmosphere. The upper grade, because its price is more expensive, because the surface of the paper will have uneven texture, so the ink cannot cover 100% when printing on this kind of paper, so it is not suitable for color printing. If you want to process the logo on the surface, bronzing, silk screen, etc. are recommended.

In recent years, began to promote green packaging (environmental packaging)

1. Environmentally friendly packaging materials generally include reusable and renewable packaging materials, edible packaging materials, degradable materials and natural paper materials. Environmentally friendly packaging is embodied in the use of materials, minimal waste and energy saving, easy recycling and reuse, and packaging waste does not produce secondary pollution. Therefore, the choice of environmentally friendly packaging materials should comply with the basic principles of harmlessness, pollution-free, and renewable use.
To put it simply, it refers to packaging that saves resources, can be recycled after use, is non-toxic when burned, and occupies less farmland when landfilled, and can be biodegraded and decomposed. Although pure natural environmentally friendly packaging materials are pollution-free, they have high commercial costs and are a serious waste of earth resources. Composite environmentally friendly materials will become the mainstream of environmentally friendly packaging in the future because of their low cost, non-polluting, and easy recycling.

2. Eco-friendly paper and recycled paper
The environmentally friendly paper claimed by many companies in the current market does not actually belong to recycled paper; the EU international standard only contains recycled paper. Environmentally friendly paper is just a general term. The biggest difference between environmentally friendly paper and recycled paper is that the raw materials are different. Recycled paper is produced from waste paper. And without adding any brighteners, fluorescent agents and other chemical agents, so the color of recycled paper is yellowish natural color, and environmentally friendly paper is paper produced from wood pulp and straw pulp. Recycled paper does not add any brighteners, fluorescent agents and other chemicals, so it shows the beauty of the paper's natural color, slightly yellowish paper; because it is not reflective, it is actually more conducive to protecting our eyes. Europe and Japan are more than a dozen Years ago, recycled paper has been regularly used as office and study paper.

    3. Use packaging design patterns and colors to arouse people's environmental awareness
The pattern and color of the product packaging do not seem to have much to do with environmental protection, but it directly affects the visual experience of consumers. If some environmental protection signs and environmental pictures are deliberately attached to the packaging, it will stimulate consumers’ brains. , To remind consumers not to throw away packaging waste. The pictures on some packages often use beautiful landscape pictures, which can not only give people a visual enjoyment, but also enhance consumers' environmental awareness.
